Invisalign – the clear path to aligned teeth

Author- Dr Aparna Pandya (Mrs India Vivacious 2019)

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth using a system of clear plastic trays or aligners. Clear aligners are popular with grown-ups and teens who prefer not to use traditional braces.

Invisalign- trained orthodontist or dentist, creates a set of custom aligners. As the teeth are pushed into place, new sets of trays are prepared thus gradationally reaching the end of the treatment plan and, ultimately, a perfectly aligned smile. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign can be removed by patients when they eat, brush teeth. But they're most effective when worn 20 to 22 hours a day.

What Dental Issues Can It Fix?

Invisalign can address numerous of the issues corrected by traditional braces. When worn according to the treatment plan, plastic aligners can bring about real metamorphoses. But they aren't a universal fix. Numerous orthodontists suggest that Invisalign be used in only mild to moderate cases.

The company states that it fixes issues including

  • Crowded teeth
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Cross bite
  • Gap teeth
  • Open bite

Mechanism of action

In this assessment, the orthodontist or dentist decides whether Invisalign is an applicable corrective treatment for the patient’s particular issues. During the consult, the teeth are fitted for custom aligners according to 3D prints.

Ideal Outcome

Invisalign users wear their aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for 3 to 18 months, taking them out only to eat and brush teeth. The snug aligners ply force on crooked teeth, gradationally shifting them. The aligners are changed every one to two weeks as the bite progresses toward an ideal outgrowth.

For numerous issues, Invisalign does work. But it requires a high position of patient compliance. Prospective Invisalign cases shouldn’t anticipate a positive outgrowth if they take their trays out for days or indeed hours at a time. The aligners must be worn for 20 to 22 hours per day; the teeth will move out of place if the aligners aren't worn diligently, dismembering the anticipated progress.

Shorter Treatment Times

While further exploration is demanded comparing the use of clear aligners with traditional braces, a study published in January 2019 in the journal BMC Oral Health showed no statistical difference in issues between the two options. In other words, the clear aligners were as effective as old- academy orthodontia.

Pros

  • Aesthetics- The transparent aligners and tooth- coloured attachments are more discreet than traditional braces.
  • Easy to remove
  • Eat what you want- While braces make some foods off- limits, Invisalign wearers can pop their servers out to eat whatever they like.
  • Material- Aligners are made of FDA- approved plastic that contains no BPA, BPS, latex, or gluten.

 Cons

  • Requires consistency- For the most effective and speedy treatment, patients should wear for 20 to 22 hours a day.
  • Slightly more costly than braces- The cost will vary, but Invisalign is slightly more costlier than conventional braces.

My name is Hailey Garcia and I am from New Jersey. My herpes virus turned to war after 2 years of living with it. I have tried different medical procedures to cure my herpes but to no avail. Most people think herpes is only a minor skin irritation of which herpes has long term effects on health and passes through the bloodstream and can be easily contracted through sexual intercourse. I knew I had herpes from the first day I started feeling itchy in my pubic area and the pain was very unbearable. I couldn't stand it anymore. After 2 years of trying other means to get rid of it, I had to contact Doctor Odunga to help me with a permanent cure. I saw his email and whats-app number from a testimony I read online from a lady who was also helped by him in curing infertility problems, I had faith and contacted him. He assured me of his work and I ordered his herbal medicine. Within 5 days, I didn't feel any pain anymore and within 2 weeks, my skin was all cleared and smooth. I am very grateful to you sir and I write this testimony as others have done to bring those having faith to you sir. If you have herpes or other similar disease and you want it cured, kindly contact Doctor Odunga, Whats-App (wa.me/+2348167159012) OR Email [email protected]
