BDS, MDS Prosthodontics & Implantology-Senior lecturer @YMT Dental College

I am Dr. Monika Varma, a Prosthodontist and Implantologist, with my BDS from Government Dental College, Mumbai, and MDS in Prosthodontics from Government Dental College, Ahmedabad.

After my postgraduation, I pursued a practical mini-residency in Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and have also worked as a Senior Lecturer at YMT Dental College & Hospital. My clinical journey has also included an observership at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, which gave me valuable exposure to maxillofacial rehabilitation and oncology-related prosthodontics.

Over the years, I have actively participated in numerous national conferences and academic programs and have had the opportunity to share my knowledge through lectures, including at Dentist channel Online last year. I was also honoured to be awarded the Fellowship of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA).

Currently, I work as a Consultant Prosthodontist across Mumbai, Vapi and Valsad, with a keen interest in comprehensive prosthodontic care, implantology, TMDs and maxillofacial rehabilitation.

But beyond degrees, conferences and titles, what truly drives me is my love for Prosthodontics.

I genuinely believe that Prosthodontics doesn't have to feel complicated or intimidating. My goal is to make concepts easier to understand, simplify clinical decision-making and help students and clinicians look at Prosthodontics with more clarity and confidence.

Because if we can make Prosthodontics easier, more practical and a little less scary…
why not?
