OBJECTIVE:
According to WHO (2022), dental caries, though largely preventable, pose a significant health burden globally. Fluoride has long been pivotal in caries prevention, with efforts to enhance fluoride uptake for better long-term effectiveness. The use of dental lasers with topical fluorides is one such method. Literature indicates that fluoride application before or after laser treatment increases fluoride uptake and reduces dissolution in acidic solutions.
