Clear Aligners. Easy to Wear, Easy to Remove

Clear Aligners. The Best Alternative to Painful Metal Braces
What are Clear Aligners?

“Peace begins with a smile”. It is medically proven that smiling is therapeutic and is known to boost serotonin and Confidence levels. With all the positive outcomes of something as simple as smiling it makes it even more important to achieve that flawless smile. It is something that everyone wants but not have it naturally, but we have our experts, our dentists to help us out.

With the advent of Clear Aligners, this becomes easier and hassle-free. The success ratio with Clear Aligners is colossal. In ordinary metal braces, brackets are used whereas Clear Aligners are removable medical grade plastic appliances which one can wear instead of brackets and wires to correct the misalignment.

Clear Aligners are transparent tight-fitting custom made; digitally scanned pieces made of a special material which is used to straighten teeth just like braces. They use a gentler and constant force to move the teeth in the required position to correct the misalignment.

 Do you need Clear Aligners?

It is not necessary that Clear Aligners are apt for everyone. Your Orthodontist is the expert you will need here. They will help you decide if it is suited for the type of misalignment that you have after a check-up. But here are the types of misalignment conditions that can go for Clear Aligners. These aligners are appropriate for the below condition although is mild or moderate cases. Severe cases or children are more unlikely to be treated by Clear Aligners.

Crossbite
Overbite
Spacing
Overjet
Crowding
Open Bite
 How do Clear Aligners work?

Your Orthodontist will first diagnose the problem and will then let you know what condition are your teeth in. They will make a plan on how to correct your bite. Detailed planning is made on how the teeth are to be moved and how much time it will require to correct your bite. The custom-made clear aligners are fitted for several versions to make slight adjustments and to move your teeth.

The best part about using clear aligners is that these are removable and can be washed too.

Why choose Clear Aligners over Metal Braces?

Clear Aligners are clearly a more hassle-free, less painful and a less time-consuming option. Not just avoiding the “Metal-Mouth” is an advantage, but Clear Aligners are also removable. They do not pose the risks of mouth ulcers due to the rub from the metal brackets. Freedom from the rubber bands that tighten and leave a painful impact. Clear Aligners give you the freedom to eat anything, floss and brush properly hence resulting in a better overall dental hygiene. But do keep in mind one needs to wear them for a minimum of 22 hours a day to obtain a good result.

How long does it take for Clear Aligners to do their magic?

The duration of the treatment for the Clear Aligners to work their magic depends on the type of bite and the severity of the conditions. The treatment duration is based on the amount of rotation or movement your teeth requires. The more the bite is off the longer it takes for the treatment to get completed. Generally, the treatment to cure one’s misalignment through Clear Aligners takes for about 10-24 months. Although invisible aligners are not as precise as traditional braces. Therefore, some of the patients may require a “refinement” of their teeth that would include using braces for a few months to make other, smaller and finer adjustments at the end of the treatment.

Why you should be getting Clear Aligners from the dentist?

Clear Aligners are something than need thorough guidance of an expert throughout. The movement and rotation of teeth need thorough monitoring and the change of the set of aligners needs to be done. Many people nowadays are going directly to the companies to buy the product rather than consulting the dentist or orthodontist.

It is highly unrecommended to take such steps as a dentist plans out each and everything specific to your complication and suitability.

 Final Note

Clear Aligners are coming of the age alternative for Metal Braces. They are less painful, hassle-free, aesthetically more pleasing, need less time duration, ensure lesser visits to the dentist and removable.

This is the alternative that allows better oral hygiene and gives an option to enjoy all that one wishes to eat.

These tend to go on a higher side of the price ranges but are totally worth and ensure quality treatment and a perfectly flawless smile.
