Dr. Aum B. Joshi is a distinguished pediatric dentist, specializing in providing comprehensive dental care for infants, children, teenagers, and those with special needs. His journey in dentistry began at the renowned A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in Mangalore, where he completed both his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) and Master of Dental Surgery (M.D.S) in the field of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, graduating in 2015.

During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Joshi demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, earning him eight Gold medals from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Notably, these accolades were presented in the esteemed presence of the late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, further adding to the prestige of his achievements. Additionally, he was honored with the A.K. Munshi Gold Medal in Pediatric Dentistry, having secured the highest marks among all postgraduate branches at Nitte University.

Dr. Joshi’s dedication to advancing the field of pediatric dentistry is evident through his extensive scholarly contributions, which include 11 international publications and a handbook on ‘Intravenous Sedation in Pediatric Dentistry.’ He shares his expertise by instructing fellow Pedodontists, postgraduates, and General Dentists on Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Inhalational Sedation, Comprehensive Pediatric Dentistry and Photography in Pediatric Dentistry – conducting workshops both locally and internationally.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Joshi’s commitment to his craft is matched by his vibrant personal pursuits. His comedic talents have earned him recognition as a stand-up comic, providing a unique outlet for his creativity and sense of humor. Additionally, he is an avid photographer and filmmaker, showcasing his artistic vision through captivating visuals. Traveling is his hobby, and he has done open mic spots in stand-up comedy for various famous artists and has performed in corporate events as well. He is passionate about wildlife and landscape photography and uses drones to capture stunning aerial perspectives during his travels.

In 2015, Dr. Joshi embarked on a joint venture with his wife, Dr. Lina Shenavi, an accomplished Orthodontist also from the A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences. Together, they established an exclusive Orthodontic and Pediatric dental practice in Rajkot, Gujarat. Driven by their shared passion for dentistry, the dynamic duo serves the community with personalized, high-quality care.

He was recently invited by Maulana Azad Medical College, MAMCE, for the first sedation conference held in India, where he was an invited speaker on nitrous oxide sedation. Also, he is the only dentist conducting photography in dentistry workshops across India.
