Dr. Bhuvan Nagpal is a highly organized, dedicated, and experienced professional in the medical field specialized in Oral Pathology and Microbiology and Clinical Biochemistry who has sound knowledge of laboratory medicine with strong research acumen and excellent scientific writing skills. He completed his B.D.S. from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, and M.D.S. in Oral Pathology and Microbiology from JSS University, Mysuru, Karnataka. He has been a university topper throughout his under-graduation and post-graduation for which he has been honored with Gold Medal and many scholarships. Simultaneously, he completed M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Himalayan University, Itanagar, M.B.A. in Healthcare and Hospital Management from National Institute of Business Management, Chennai, and PG Diploma in Medico-Legal Systems (PGDMLS) from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care, Pune, and LL.B from Om Sterling Global University, Hisar, India. He has also done PG Training (PGT) in Head & Neck Onco-pathology at Manglam Diagnostics, Hisar and also holds NABL approved certification in ISO 15189 Internal Audit and Lab Quality Management Systems. He started his career as Consultant Oral Pathologist & Clinical Biochemist at Manglam Diagnostics, Hisar.  Thereafter, he was appointed as Project Manager for the establishment of various centers of Manglam Diagnostics at Hansi, Jind, Bhiwani, Tosham, Tohana, Fatehabad and Moonak. Recently, he is serving Tohana Manglam Diagnostics as Laboratory Director & Senior Consultant in Head & Neck Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry. Tohana Manglam Diagnostics is NABL accredited medical lab in District Fatehabad. Beyond his pivotal role at Tohana Manglam Diagnostics, Dr Bhuvan is a trailblazer in his field, donning various hats that reflect his dedication to advancing pathology and clinical biochemistry. He is the Founder and President of the Practicing Oral Pathologists and Microbiologists Association (POPMA), a professional body dedicated to promote and elevating oral pathology and microbiology specialty practice and research. The mission of POPMA is to promote Oral Pathology & Microbiology as a career by making MDS Oral Pathology & Microbiology degree as one of the requisite qualifications to sign the medical laboratory reports. Additionally, Dr Bhuvan is the Director of the Academy of Oral Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (AOPLM) in Hisar, Haryana, exemplifying his commitment to education and fostering future talent. AOPLM is certified as per ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management standards and offers observership program and fellowship course only to MDS degree holders in the specialty of Oral Pathology.

On the professional front, he has expertise in histopathological diagnosis of biopsy and cytology specimens belonging to oral and maxillofacial region; non-guided and USG-guided FNAC of lesions belonging to oral, head and neck region; interpretation and reporting of routine haematological, serological, biochemical, microbiological and clinical pathology (urine, stool, semen, and sputum) investigations. He is well versed with routine laboratory equipments and techniques; usage of blood cell counter, fully and semi-automatic biochemistry analyzer, immunoassay analyser, coagulometer, turbidometer, HPLC, ABG and electrolyte analyser, microtome, tissue processing units, decalcification, ground section techniques, usage of different types of microscopes and advanced techniques like IHC, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, and PCR. From administration point of view, he has expertise in establishing new diagnostic Centre with complete laboratory and imaging modalities within a stipulated time; manages and ensures smooth laboratory operations; ensures accurate testing, validation, timely release of reports, and efficient inventory control; supports the sales team for business efficiency; implements the quality (assurance and control) standards; and ensures compliance to SOPs, quality of testing, and maintenance of TAT. Since his graduation days, Dr. Nagpal has been active member of various medical/pathology/biochemistry/dental associations and has published 41 research articles in various journals and 15 textbooks of national and international repute. He is member of Editorial and Reviewer Board for more than 15 national and international journals. He is also associate editor of Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry (JOCPD). Dr. Bhuvan Nagpal is approved by NABL as authorized signatory for lab reports. Due to his keen interest in pathology and lab medicine, he has participated and delivered keynote lectures in various seminars and conferences in order to create awareness about the future prospects of oral pathology.

He is also working towards making MDS qualification in Oral Pathology & Microbiology as one of the authorized signatory for clinical laboratory/pathology reports with the specified investigations. As a result of such efforts, NABL has considered MDS in Oral Pathology as one of the authorized signatory for Histopathology & Cytopathology of Oral & Maxillofacial region and Hematology. Further, in the meetings related to Medical Diagnostic Laboratories conducted by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, it has been decided that the doctors holding MDS qualification in Oral Pathology can be authorized signatory for lab reports as per Dental Council of India. Future inputs related to widening the domain of oral pathologists will definitely lead to creation of more vacancies for Oral Pathologists in diagnostic field. Overall, he aspires for a professional career in medical diagnostic industry with his skills and constantly adds value to the associated organizations and society at large. He is also working on personal and professional fronts to widen the scope of oral pathology so that this specialization makes the cut as post-graduation and career of choice.
