Dr. Divyabharathi Selvam is a dedicated academician and clinician in the field of Prosthodontics, with a strong focus on preventive and contemporary prosthodontic rehabilitation. She holds a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Prosthodontics along with advanced fellowship training, and is currently pursuing her PhD, reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning and academic excellence. She serves as a Senior Lecturer at SRM Dental College, Ramapuram, where she is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical mentoring, and academic curriculum development.

With a keen interest in Preventive Prosthodontics, Dr. Divyabharathi’s clinical philosophy centers on the preservation of remaining natural dentition, maintenance of oral proprioception, and delivery of biologically sound, patient-centered prosthetic solutions. Her clinical expertise includes tooth-supported overdentures, telescopic denture systems, precision and semi-precision attachments, fixed and removable prosthodontics, and comprehensive rehabilitation of partially edentulous patients. She strongly advocates the application of De Van’s principles, emphasizing that preservation of existing structures is fundamental to long-term prosthetic success.

Dr. Divyabharathi is actively engaged in academic research, with interests spanning attachment-retained prostheses, preventive strategies in prosthodontics, biomaterials, and outcome-based clinical decision-making. She has participated in and presented at various continuing dental education (CDE) programs, conferences, and academic forums, contributing to the dissemination of evidence-based prosthodontic practices.
