Dr. Shelika Merchant Nehete is a Dental Surgeon and Clinical Trainer with over 25 years of expertise. After graduating from the prestigious Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai, she earned a Fellowship in Laser Dentistry from WCLI  and spent some time as a lead clinical trainer for Waterlase dental systems,  partnering on research studies and mentoring practitioners on integrating lasers into daily practice.

As the founder of Smile Merchants Dental Care Centre in Mumbai, she specialises in  advanced hard and soft tissue augmentation in implantology and full mouth rehabs. Now based in Singapore, she bridges a unique professional gap:

 Training in AI in Healthcare while in Singapore to understand the new global perspectives in our industry and then commuting across borders every 3–4 weeks to run a high-precision digital implant workflow for her Mumbai practice. This hands on , completely borderless clinical workflow makes her a strong advocate for seamlessly integrating Implantology into everyday practise—ensuring the practice works for you, and not just you for the practice
