Dr Vijendra completed his bachelor degree in Dentistry and later-on Masters in Periodontology & Implantology from the MCODS, Mangalore, Manipal Academy of Higher Education,Institution of Eminence, Manipal India. He is currently working as Professor in department of Periodontology & Implantology in Faculty of Dentistry, Manipal University College Malaysia (MUCM). He holds the Fellow and Diplomate credential in Oral Implantology from the prestigious International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI), USA. He has been working passionately in the field of Oral Implantology and core faculty for the Fellowship in Oral Implantology postgraduate certificate programme since 2013 at Centre of Excellence, Faculty of Dentistry (FoD), Melaka, Malaysia affiliated to ICOI, USA. He is supervising various research 
projects undertaken by dental students in FoD, MUCM. With his special interest in Osseodensification concept and augmentation in oral implantology, he has delivered various lectures in national and international forum. He is having 27 published articles in various national and international scientific journals in his credit and also serving as scientific reviewer in various scientific peer review journals.
