MDS (Periodontics)

Professor Dr. Rajeev Chitguppi completed his MDS (Periodontics) in 2002 from Govt Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai and since then he has been a consulting periodontist in Mumbai. Soon after MDS, he launched his first venture Perioindia (www.perioindia.com), which is committed to and promotes clinical and research excellence in PERIO. In Perioindia, PERIO is not about the conventional subject periodontology, but about: (P) Periodontics – (E) Esthetics, (R) Rehabilitation, (I) Implants, and (O) Occlusion. To promote this multidisciplinary philosophy of PERIO among practitioners, Perioindia releases its own e- journal, known as PERIOindia journal. It is free to subscribe for all practitioners. All lectures & courses conducted by Dr. Rajeev promote this philosophy. The latest concept launched by Dr. Rajeev in this regard is Sigma Smile – which integrates all branches of clinical dentistry for Clinical Smile Design. (www.sigmasmile.com) As a subject expert, Dr. Rajeev was one of the invited delegates for the 2014 Conclave of International Academy of Periodontology where he was a panelist in the discussion on Periodontal Regeneration. The consensus report - “Periodontal Regeneration: Fact or Fiction?” - has been published in the Journal of International Academy of Periodontology (2015). Apart from this Dr. Rajeev has published many articles in the Indian journals on General dentistry/ Peridontics.
