Oral lesions are common occurrences in day-to-day clinical scenarios. Sometimes uncommon oral lesions that mimic common lesions may be encountered and cause diagnostic dilemma. Clinicians should look for clinical, radiographic and histopathologic clues for arriving at accurate diagnosis. Sometimes diagnosis is done by exclusion. Achieving the right diagnosis is the most important and most difficult step for appropriate treatment. Although histopathological diagnosis is still known as the gold standard, final diagnosis becomes difficult unless precise clinical descriptions are obtained. Thus, it is important for clinicians to do a thorough clinical-radiographic-histopathological correlation of oral lesions.
