The loss of deciduous teeth is almost considered uneventful as they are expected to be replaced by permanent teeth. However, due to developmental anomalies, social issues and functional liabilities, their replacement may be required. This job is most often done by the Paediatric Dental Surgeon. These procedures, however, have their base in Prosthetic Dentistry.
