With so many Brands in the market, it becomes extremely confusing and difficult to select the right toothbrush for your child, the thumb rule is that the toothbrush should fit easily in your child’s mouth. Many a times Parents fail to select the right size causing difficulty to brush teeth. A brush with soft bristles made of a round-ended or polished material will keep your child’s teeth clean and will also prevent the damage of gums.

Once your child is 2 years and above s(he) would want to Brush teeth by themselves. At this age Choose a toothbrush with a small head and a soft grip that will be easy for your child to hold. A child between the age group of 5-8 years can do a better job of brushing and hence while selecting a toothbrush for a child under the age category of 5-8 years select a brush with slimmer handles because older children have more dexterity than toddlers. Many toothbrushes for children in this age range are decorated with popular TV and movie characters, animals, and other fun designs. Choose a toothbrush your child likes so that he or she will look forward to using it. Children above the age group of 8 years and above Kids can brush their teeth themselves. Toothbrushes for older children are like adult toothbrushes, but the heads are slightly smaller, and the handles are larger. A preadolescent child can use either a manual or electric toothbrush.
