Dr. Pawan Krishna Murti

Dr. Pawan Krishna Murti is a dentist, public health researcher, and scientific writer with a strong academic background in dentistry, public health, epidemiology, and evolutionary health sciences. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Public Health Dentistry from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, India. She further completed a Master’s degree in Health, Ecology, and Human Evolution (MSEEH) from Université Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier, France, and is currently pursuing advanced studies in Public Health and Clinical Research at Université de Caen Normandie, France.

Her academic and research interests span oral health, public health epidemiology, clinical research methodology, oral health behavior, dental genetics, and evolutionary medicine. During her internship at the Laboratoire Évolution et Santé Orale (EvolSan Lab), Toulouse, she contributed to research exploring the genetic and evolutionary aspects of wisdom teeth, advancing the understanding of oral health evolution and human adaptation.

Dr. Murti has completed specialized training programs in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and research methods from globally recognized institutions, including Imperial College London, Utrecht University, Johns Hopkins University, and the World Health Organization (WHO). Her interdisciplinary expertise bridges clinical dentistry, population health, and scientific research.

She currently serves as a Scientific Writer for Dental Tribune South Asia and as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Oral Medicine and Dental Research and Advances in Clinical and Medical Research under Genesis Publications. She also volunteers as a reviewer for the Journal of the Indian Dental Association (Madras Branch) and is a panel member at Asia Research Partners LLP.

Actively involved in scientific writing, academic research, and international collaborations, Dr. Murti is passionate about advancing evidence-based dentistry and public health. She has a growing interest in the role of emerging technologies in transforming oral healthcare, research, and population health outcomes, and remains committed to fostering interdisciplinary approaches that improve oral health at both individual and community levels.
