Dental implants are infact the need of the hour. Every clinician needs to be well versed with dental implants. Both the conventional and corticobasal implants are two different systems with science involved. Owing to the time taken for loading, esthetics and function, there is a shift of implantology towards immediate loading. Both the conventional and immediate loading implants have their pros and cons. In case of atrophied ridges, corticobasal implants are the need of hour and preferred implants.
