Every restorative procedure begins with a decision, but is tooth preparation always necessary? With the growing availability of digital technologies, clinicians now have access to practical tools that can improve diagnosis, documentation, patient communication, and treatment planning before making an irreversible clinical decision. This webinar will explore how digital photography, intraoral cameras, digital radiographs, intraoral scanners, and other readily available digital tools can support minimally invasive restorative decision-making in everyday practice. Through common clinical situations including tooth wear, cervical lesions, endodontically treated teeth, cracked teeth, and existing restorations, the session will discuss how digital information can help clinicians choose more conservative and evidence-based treatment approaches. The goal is to encourage a simple shift in perspective: before asking “How should I prepare?”, first ask “Do I need to prepare at all?”
