Dr. Prajna P. Shetty is a Prosthodontist, Implantologist, clinical educator, and researcher with over 14 years of experience in advanced prosthodontics, implant dentistry, academics, and clinical research. A former Associate Professor and Consultant at the Brånemark Osseointegration Centre (BOC), Bangalore, she has developed extensive expertise in prosthetically driven implant planning, CBCT-based diagnosis, digital implant workflows, guided surgery, implant biomechanics, full-mouth rehabilitation, and peri-implant tissue management.

She is a Fellow in Implantology from the Brånemark Osseointegration Centre, India, affiliated with BOC Sweden, and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), USA. She has also cleared Part I of the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Her academic and research interests focus on implant–abutment biomechanics, biomaterials, bone regeneration, peri-implant tissue stability, digital dentistry, and prosthetically driven implant rehabilitation. She has authored and co-authored 13 scientific publications, contributed a chapter to the Wiley-Scrivener publication Pharmacological Studies in Natural Oral Care, and holds a patent for “A Digital Dental Tape for Measuring the Occlusal Vertical Dimension of a Patient’s Face.”

Her research has received 79 citations, with an H-index of 4 and a Research Interest Score of 84.5.
