Dental implant therapy has evolved into a highly predictable treatment modality; however, long-term success depends not only on surgical skills and implant systems but, fundamentally, on appropriate case selection, comprehensive diagnosis, meticulous treatment planning, and sound clinical execution.
This webinar will provide a practical and clinically oriented approach to the journey from patient selection to implant placement, highlighting the critical decisions that influence biological, prosthetic, and aesthetic outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on identifying favourable and unfavourable case characteristics, assessing systemic and local risk factors, evaluating bone and soft-tissue conditions, and determining when implant therapy is appropriate—or when alternative or preparatory treatment should be considered.
The session will explore clinical and radiographic assessment, CBCT interpretation, prosthetically driven implant positioning, implant number and dimensions, three-dimensional positioning, surgical guide planning, and management of anatomical limitations. Particular attention will be given to common clinical errors in implant placement and strategies to prevent complications related to inadequate positioning, insufficient biological dimensions, prosthetic limitations, and peri-implant tissue instability.
Through clinical scenarios and practical decision-making strategies, participants will learn how to move beyond a “place the implant” approach toward a prosthetically driven, biologically sound and risk-based treatment philosophy.
The webinar aims to provide clinicians with a structured framework to think before they drill, plan before they place, and improve predictability before they restore.
This webinar takes clinicians from the first patient assessment to confident implant placement, focusing on the decisions that can make or break an implant case. Learn how to identify the right case, recognize risk factors, assess bone and soft tissues, interpret CBCT findings, and plan implants prosthetically rather than simply surgically. The session will cover practical strategies for implant positioning, implant selection, digital planning, surgical guides, and managing challenging anatomical situations. Real-world clinical scenarios will highlight common planning and placement mistakes, how to avoid them, and when to modify or reconsider the treatment plan. Whether you are placing your first implants or looking to refine your clinical approach, this webinar will provide practical tips to help you plan smarter, place more predictably, and achieve better biological, functional, and prosthetic outcomes.
